About the Hotel
The Margi is a boutique hotel and member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World in Vouliagmeni, a few steps from the beaches of the Athenian Riviera and around half an hour from Athens. The hotel was founded in 1960 by Dr. Giagkos Stavridis, who named it after his two daughters, Maria and Tzina. It is family run, now in its third generation, with rooms, suites and villas that use warm earthy tones, handcrafted details and views across the pool, pine trees and sea. Glyfada is a short drive away for shopping, dining and nightlife.
Food is taken seriously here. The Margi’s Organic Farm supplies the kitchens directly. GiO restaurant moves to the poolside in summer, under olive trees and bougainvilleas, and to an indoor room with a fireplace in winter. Nilaya restaurant focuses on Greek and Mediterranean breakfast, and Patio restaurant holds a Michelin star and a Green Michelin star for sustainability, with the kitchen under chef Panagiotis Giakalis.
The Margi Spa has three treatment rooms, a couple’s suite, steam and sauna, and an indoor pool. The hotel also has a fitness suite and an outdoor pool area.

Lake Vouliagmeni is just a short walk from the hotel and remains open year round, a thermal lake fed by underground springs where the water stays between 22 and 29°C throughout the seasons. The Garra Rufa fish that inhabit it have made it a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike.
