Your day starts with an early morning pick up from your accommodation. From there, the transfer heads south into the Vouliagmeni and Kavouri side of the Athenian Riviera, an area that sits roughly half an hour from central Athens and is known for having some of the easiest and most attractive swimming spots close to the city.

By 10:00, you reach your chosen seaside stop for the day. Depending on your preference, this may be Lake Vouliagmeni, Vouliagmeni Beach, Astir Beach or Kavouri. Each offers a different kind of experience, but all make it possible to enjoy a few easy hours by the water without going far from Athens. Lake Vouliagmeni is a natural thermal lake. Astir Beach is the most polished and fully serviced option. Vouliagmeni Beach is the classic organised beach choice. Kavouri feels more open and more local, with sandy stretches and shallower water

The next few hours are kept free so the morning can take shape around the setting you have chosen. If the stop is Lake Vouliagmeni, the experience is more about swimming in warm mineral rich water and enjoying the enclosed lake setting beneath the rocks and pines than having a conventional beach morning. If the choice is Astir Beach, the time is usually spent in a more serviced beach club environment, with reserved sunbeds, beach service and the option of watersports. If you decide to go to Vouliagmeni Beach, the feeling is more straightforward, with a long organized shore and plenty of facilities. At Kavouri, the rhythm is usually simpler and looser. Sand, shallow water, space to walk, and a more open shoreline.

At 13:00, lunch can be shaped around whichever beach has been chosen.

If the morning is spent at Lake Vouliagmeni, it often works nicely to stay there for lunch as well. AbraOvata is a good option if you want lunch to remain part of the lake setting, especially since the whole appeal there is the feeling of staying in one contained place rather than moving around. If you prefer something simpler or more traditional after swimming, the restaurants in nearby Vouliagmeni area are only a few minutes away.

If the choice is Astir Beach, lunch can easily stay within the Astir peninsula. That suits the setting best, because Astir works as a self contained beach day. Swim, stay on your sunbed, then eat either by the beach or at one of the nearby restaurants within the wider resort area.

At Vouliagmeni Beach, it usually works best to keep lunch light if the priority is swimming. There is already café bar service, refreshments and a fully organized beach setup on site, so a snack or easy pause by the water often makes more sense than leaving too early. If you want a more proper meal, the nearby Vouliagmeni area is again the easiest solution

If the day is based around Kavouri Beach, one nice suggestion for lunch is Krabo. It  suits the area well if you want lunch to feel relaxed, attractive and slightly more special without losing the beach mood.

At 15:00, the return to your accommodation begins. The drive back follows the same coastal road, now in the warmer light of the afternoon, when the Riviera feels even calmer and more settled.

Arrival back at the hotel is at 16:00. This timing makes the experience especially useful for guests who want swimming time and a proper seaside break, but still want the rest of the afternoon and evening free.
